Objectives:
Upon completion of this presentation, the participant will

1. Identify early signs, symptoms, and physiologic changes associated with common high-risk medical emergencies in the perioperative setting

2. Apply critical thinking and evidence-based interventions to determine appropriate nursing actions, prioritize care, and support the interdisciplinary team during simulated perioperative emergencies

3. Demonstrate effective communication, role clarity, and crisis resource management principles to facilitate a coordinated, safe, and timely response during medical emergencies
