A Year of Learning Through the AORN Guidelines

This year, our chapter is excited to place a special focus on the AORN Guidelines for Perioperative Practice—the gold standard for safe, evidence-based surgical care. Every educational presentation and journal club will dive into a specific guideline, helping perioperative professionals strengthen their knowledge and apply best practices directly to their work.

We kicked off the year with an inspiring visit from the AORN Guidelines authors here in San Diego, and we’re keeping that momentum going! From infection prevention to safe surgical techniques, our events will give you practical updates, opportunities to discuss real-world applications, and the chance to connect with colleagues who are just as committed to excellence in perioperative care.
